.

I was born in 1959 Stern%20Smile, and at that time there were no music charts in Italy at all, but the hit of  the moment was "Volare !" , issued a few months before, probably  the most famous Italian song of all times Tongue

In the USA we had Billy Preston with Will it go round in circles (any idea about this track??)

In Italy - where I was born and still live - I Camaleonti were n. 1 with "Perché ti amo" (cheesy, but I like it, good melodic pop)

By the way, the day I was born EMI issued the first copy of the first album by the QUEEN

I love Billy Preston's instrumental Hammond B-3 records, they really rock, but 'Will It Go Round In Circles' was kind of cheesey psuedo funk commercial nonsense that was kind of annoyingly catchy.

In the U.S. it was Elvis's remake of Big Mama Thorton's "You aint Nothin but a Hound Dog" his version was not near as good and I'm still pissed he got more money than her for it to this day.

Anyway, Led Zeppelin would soon follow in his shoes and plunder/bludgeon more old songs for huge amounts of undeserved dollars.
