Your behavior and posts today in this thread and the PM split thread are almost trollish, all you seem to want to do is provoke people to ensure negative responses and arguments.

It's ok, I haven't offended anybody, I'm just recommending some good Prog Rock, remember this is a Prog site...Wink

You are offending quite a few people, that is what alerted me to this, via PM's and Report Abuse.

If you don't like Post Rock or Prog Metal why even bother coming into these threads?

I listened to The Pax Cecilia for the first time last night, and I was terribly impressed!  They are one of a few bands in the caliber of EitS when it comes to conjuring emotion out of thin air.  I only heard what was on their myspace page, and can't wait to hear the whole record! Big%20smile

Did you write to them to have it send it to you for free?If you didn't...you should.

It took 2 weeks for my copy to get to me here in Maryland.

Yeah, I emailed them last night!  What a great idea.  I'm definitely donating, though, once I get it.

Yeah.... they're not really post-metal, but they're heavier than a lot of post-rock bands.
To get an idea of the sound, take all the biggest aspects of bands like EitS, Mono, Mogwai, then make the loud parts louder and the soft parts softer, and string it together into three 15+ minute epics.

Most people who like this "post-rock" bands pretend they're listening to 100% Prog bands, and they haven't even heard or like Prog Rock...so how could they know what's Prog about?...

If you have understood and of course enjoyed Prog Rock first, "post-rock" isn't the big deal really, it seems you're only listening to this "post-rock" stuff, I recommend you guys listen to some Prog Rock. Wink

What a load of rubbis.

Chambery will eat you alive.Wink

You said it Sleeper.Wink
P.H.P. I'm waaay ahead of you. I've heard a lot of Prog as well as Post-Rock and I advise you to listen carefully to the prog aspect of these bands and stop those silly prejudice about the genre. Educate yourself.

man, Post-rock or Post-metal has never been PROG, understand that, the fact this site lists bands like Cult of Luna doesn't mean they're really Prog...

Never?! Please read and listen FIRST before generalizing.

I would've respect your opinion if you actually had a more constructive thing to say, but like many of your post they aren't.

I agree! Not Post-metal at all, but the music is so powerful and touching...
Forget innovation, this band is up there with Godspeed!

Laura is great too! The only album better than them in 2006 was Random Avenger by Magyar Posse.

Judging by their latest album and their connection with the genre, I think they might. I'm not familiar with the splits so don't take my word for it.

^^^^ They're heavy sometimes, but they aren't really metal or metal influenced. They just have some loud and distorted moments, that's all.Tongue Great band to check out nonetheless.
