Topic: Favourite radiohead album Posted: September 30 2007 at 07:12 |
I really cant decide, for me it could be either the bends, Ok computer, Kid A, hail to the thief or pablo honey. I really love their music and each album has so many good songs on it, does anyone else have a problem deciding on their favourite, or are all of your more decisive?

Apart from The bends, I'm not much of a fan of the modern whiney English band

I started with Pablo Honey because it was the cheapest one available. Then I tried Amnesiac and was hooked.

Modern whiny English band? Don't post unless you actually have something intelligent to say. _Kid A_ and _OK Computer_ are pretty much perfect albums (Kid A usually manages to take the lead), and everything from _The Bends_ on is absolutely phenomenal. It's no stretch to call Radiohead one of the most important rock bands composing music right now, and with a new album on the way in 2008, the future for the band looks bright.

Well I wish they'd stop composing and get the new one out already.

Indeed, it's been like more than 4 years now since they released HttT. It's toss between OkC and Kid A for me. Meh, I think I'll go with the latter...

Nothing in their discography even comes close to OK Computer, in my opinion.

I have them all except Pablo Honey. And I can honestly say Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief were the best. I realize I am in the minority. Actually, I realize I am alone out here, but meh.

I have Hail to the Thief, OK Computer, and Kid A; but I haven't decided if I like Radiohead or not yet. I am also a little bit hazy regarding their actually progginess. I suppose I am a bit agnostic here. I am not saying they are not prog, but I am just not sure that they are.

Hmm, if they haven't mixed it or produced it, is it really finished?

^ With you on this one Cuncuna. Although Radiohead is one of my favourite bands and every album deserver an important mention IMO.
I really love Pablo Honey, The Bends, OKputer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, all EPs and I will surely like their next effort. Yesterday I listened to Pablo Honey and I realized that it's one of the best grunge release ever! Last week I got hooked with Kid A and, overall, my sticky choice would be the magnificent Amnesiac, though The Bends seems to be the most accomplished.
Just because the underrated PH has no vote yet, that's it.

I voted Hail to the Thief, it kept the experimentation of Kid A and Amnesiac but mixed in the Energy of The Bends. All there albums are amazing, and it's very close, but HttT takes it.

For some reason i really really dig The Bends. Just an all around excellent album. It was the first full Radiohead album ive ever heard too. But after more listening ive concluded that their best, IMO, is OK computer.

Eh, I hated them when I first heard them. For an entire album to check out, however, I'd suggest the Bends. A brilliant high strong album!

I saw them at Glastonbury. I was cold, wet, miserable, in dire need of a decent bath, pi sed on cheap wine and up to my knees in mud. Perfect -
Amnesiac this week; last week OK Computer; week before The Bends; next week? who knows... I fancy hearing some Creep.
