Phoenix Wright 3. Doesn't come out in the US until late October, but the recently-released Japanese reissue has an English option, which is how I'm playing |

Still playing Zelda, beat the Water Temple, doing the Bottom of the Well.
Dear god, the music... it's like the soundtrack of Satan.

Everything about the Well and the Shadow Temple is really dark, twisted and scary. Come to think of it, all of the temples faced as Adult Link (with the possible exception of the Water Temple) have a really dark atmosphere. |

I'm saving up some dough to get Bioshock. It's getting ridiculously good reviews and it looks awesome

Hmm, it never really stuck out to me. Apparently it's amazing though, so I might check it out.

That game (and especially those two parts) is the only game hat has genouinly scared me. I dont think the tree temple (sorry havent played that game in five years) is the only place not scary. I hated it when you would drain the entire water temple, and were always afraid the big spiders were gonna fall on you.

The Forest Temple wasn't scary, so much as dark and ominous. It went from woodsy to ghosty fairly fast. That, and being 8 years old and knowing that there's a Wallmaster in the next room, terrified me.
In the Water Temple, I'd hate hearing the damn things hopping around, and not seeing anything. You'd turn around... "OH SWEET GOD IN HEAVEN!!! SPIDER OUT OF FREAKING NOWHERE!!!"

I know several kids who never beat the Water Temple. Poor, poor kids.
I'm gonna start a new file in that pretty soon. I haven't played it for at least 4 months, and I like to beat it at least once every six. I also want to play Twilight Princess again. I liked it the first time, but I didn't think it was as good as the critics were saying, with some calling it the best 3D Zelda game so far. There wasn't enough outside of the temples, though. There were basically 0 sidequests, and by the end of the game there were about 3 temples in a row where you didn't really do anything in the overworld between them; it was just temple, temple, temple. Yeah, looking back, the Water Temple was a bit easier than the Internet made it sound.
I generally just screw around though. I spent a good twenty minutes earlier cliff diving by the Gerudo Valley bridge.

I don't really buy new games anymore, and I no longer keep up with the industry. I still play quite a bit, though, just not new games. I think I'm gonna play Splinter Cell 3 tomorrow.

I ordered Kirby 64 the other day, so I'll be playing that when it arrives.
I'll check IGN from time to time, but I'm usually happy with what I already have.

Is it long enough to warrant a $50 purchase? Edited by Chameleon - August 26 2007 at 00:07 |
