Ziltoid, despite lacking in the music department at times, could be the best concept I've heard.
Fear of a Blank Planet (youth) / The Power and the Glory (politics)/Kid A&Amnesiac (general misanthrophy) all work very well due to their relatability.
Oh, and Frances the Mute and Be. Best concept albums where I have no idea what's going on, try to piece together stuff, and fail miserably. It doesn't get any better.

HAHAHAH!!!  Oh I used to listen to that album quite a bit.  Found it quite by accident, and it grew on me.  I particularly liked the second version of Blue Flowers, when he starts singing that cheesy Christopher Cross song "Sailing" from out of nowhere and shoobedoobbop's a little.  Cracks me up every time.

Anyway, I think my favourite concept for an album is Opeth's My Arms, Your Hearse. Plus it has that little built in cycle...it's just so....clever.LOL

I saw someone say Duke... what?

The Wall
Lamb lies
Quadrophenia
It is quite difficult stating your favorite concept without giving an example of the concept album that uses it. So, of those three albums, which is your favorite concept? A man looses his idendity to fame, a man looses his idendity to his "other self" or a man looses his idendity to a youth sub-culture. LOL

Musically= The wall
Concept= The wall
Favirote= the wall

Tarkus: Armadillo tank that destroys weapons of mass destruction, then realizes it's a weapon of mass destruction itself and throws itself off a cliff into the sea. ARMADILLO TANK, PEOPLE.
