Good question - I was a very early member of the forum in February 2004, but I think the site as it is now existed from late 2003; I also seem to remember there was one previous to this...

Not very helpful I know, but if you have any birthday cash or presents you want to send, get them to me & I'll make sure they are sent to those most deserving.

As Jim says, the site really evolved rather than coming with a big band. There were a couple of older versions of the site, the current one really started in about January 2004.

The best date to go by is probably the joining date of Rony ("Proglucky") or M@x

Yeah, but this site really became good when I joined,  so I think my joining date should be used as the benchmark.  Tongue
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Sorry to interrupt you fake doctor but everybody will answer, if asked the important question, that PA really was born the day THE T finally got appointed as prog-reviewer, so I'd say the site is really no much more than 1-month old... Before that, we were still in utero, in the womb... TongueTongueTongueTongueTongueTongueTongueTongueBig%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smile

By the way, as Mr Garten said, the presents and cash should be sent to a single person. As I'm the only ecuadorian here and, hence, with no influences or physical prog-friends around me, I should be the caretaker of all those funds, as you can be sure that I will guard them as well as I guard my prog... In fact, let me tell you that I will actually fuse the two, and turn the funds into more prog! Big%20smileTongueTongueBig%20smileTongue

I have no arguement as to the "birth" date of the site, but I would submit that the site became the sparkling examplar of overwrought & overwritten rants & off balance raves when my first self joined here last fall (Pantacruelgruel). Since then , new standards have been unfortunately set for long winded dissertations, unnecessary silloligisms (a string of words with sharing the same first letter), skewed humor, anti-snob lobs of good ol' Acadian common people talk to those who would belittle anyone who is not part of the "elite" (actually, this last part is sadly much & often needed in our threads), and the abuse of parentheses, quotation marks & other textbook writing stuff thingys.
Alas, at this time, nature calls, so I must go & rid myself of some excess matter in a more physical manner than writing allows me to.

And why do you qoute me to say that? ConfusedConfused Mmmmm, let me guess:

1. I'm an example of everything that's wrong in PA...LOLAngry

2. My rant was truthful and you're pissed about the lack of recognition I get as the actual Messiah of PA....Big%20smileTongue

3. You picked a random post, the longest one...AngryAngry

4. before you had to go relief yourself, this was the only post that your stomach allowed you enough time to quote...Wink

Well, if you're REALLY PantaCruelgruel (why wouldn't you be?)... welcome back, you were very good at battling against The Ku-Klux-Collins-Klan... Big%20smile
