It was a shame, the Minister of tourism (Who did nothing except charge the concert with extra taxes because "it's not cultural" according to the law) went to the Press conference, and made Roger put on a t-shirt promoting Macchu Picchu as one of the modern 7 wonders, to what he agreed very gently.
Roger said he wanted to go to Macchu Picchu today but all commercial airlines were full, he asked her (The minister) if she could help, but she stayed quiet.
Really embarrasing, that's why nobody likes politicians.

Ivan, I hope Roger is not phased by all that and puts on a great show for you - hoping you won't be disappointed. Let us all know.

Just arrived from the show AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I promissed some photos, but was very hard, when Roger received a group for autographs cameras weren't officially allowed (Ropger made an exception and was very nice) but before the concert the security took the bateries from the cameras, I managed to get one extra battery set in the shoes (peruvians are very resourcefull).
The photos are from row 9 but not good enough, at least to have an idea.
Trying to focus the camera before the show, I'm at the right side and my friend Martín at the left..
The show starts
The show goes on!!!
Of course DSOTM!!!
Kiliminster, Snowy, Roger and Andy Fairweather-Low
The whole band
Sorry for the quality, but the seccurity was really a pain in the arse, did my best but I'm not a photographer.
Don't miss the show, it's worth.
Iván

Short Review of the Concert
After months of expectation and doubts because Perú is not the center of Rock music, Roger Waters played this Monday 12 before about 15,000 devoted fans who never sat down, this was the biggest Prog concert ever, it would be futile to describe the concert and spoil the experience but I will mention some specially emotional moments.
Mother was simply amazing, the wonderful voice of Katie Kissoon with a 15,000 souls chorus impressed everybody, thanks to the big screen we could see her face visibly touched, Roger was amazing.
Shine on You Crazy Diamond: Another chance for the audience to sing all the track with Roger, everybody was moved.
Great Gig in the Sky: All the audience was moved with the amazing interpretation by Carol Kenyon, the best one I ever heard since Claire Torry, but this wasn’t all, the whole Dark Side of the Moon was enjoyed by the audience, people was thrilled.
Another Brick in the Wall: Performed with a chorus of 20 students from Cambridge School in Lima, this time the audience went crazy.
Comfortably Numb: Probably because it was the last song and we all knew it and also being a favorite was simply impressive, people didn’t sung it, we all shouted until we lost our voices, my favorite moment in the concert.
Of course tracks like Perfect Sense and Leaving Beirut from Roger’s personal albums were also enjoyed by the audience, the effects were incredible, Roger gave everything from him, Andy Fairweather-Low, Jon Carin, Snowy White, PP Arnold and of course Graham Broad making our bodies tremble with the deep sound of his drums and all the staff were absolutely impeccable.
A Couple of opinions of two friends that were there:
An amazing, unbelievable and very touching night ! the long awaited moment tear us down with the state-of-the-art sound system and the HUGE screen bombing out doses of musical pleasure. WHAT A NIGHT !! WHAT MUSIC ! WHAT SHOW !! For a while, thousands of pleased Peruvians were through a steady tidal of feelings. Roger Waters and his band rocked the crowd away during the almost 3 hours of the gig...a note to remark...NOBODY WAS SEATED...!! many thanks Roger, many thanks Pink Floyd. Marco Silva Navarrete

And the second one:
Mi ingles es extremandamente malo y basico, siento mucho no poder colaborar. Pero si tuviera q decirlo en castellano te diria q aunque no tengo mucho con q comparar, me parecio el mejor q vi (superior al de U2 q vi en argentina) un concierto emocionante, magistralmente ejecutado y con Waters enchufado con el publico. Varios momentos vibrantes, Sheep, anotyher brick, pero me quedo con el momento en el q canto The Fletcher memorial home......todavia el duele no?
Martin
Translation:
My English is extremely basic but if I had to say it in Spanish, I will tell you that even though I don't have much to compare with, it is the best one I ever saw (Better than U2 in Argentina).
Emotional concert, perfect interpretations with a Waters completely plugged with the audience. Several touching moments, Sheep, Another Brick in the Wall but I stay with the moment he sung The Fletcher Memorial Home.....Still hurts No?

Everybody enjoyed it.
Those who have the chance.......GO, it’s an experience you will never forget Iván

Ivan, glad you enjoyed it so much - knew you would. It would be nice to put all our reviews on one thread [there's also a 'live performance review ' thread], only so people don't have to access different threads. For something so good, we don't want anyone interested to miss out.

That only answers why he's not going to serbia, what about the rest of us?

It was magnificent. The only bad thing was my location: I had lawn so the stage was literally half a mile away but the screens helped... when "In the Flesh" started sounding, MY flesh almost collapses....Great concert, I advice anybody to go to this concert. Just the rendition of all DSOTM is enough, but if you add "Mother", "SOYCD", "WYWH", a couple songs I don't know that much about, BRICK pt II and Comfortably Numb, there's just no excuse if this tour passes near your town and you don't go... shame on you!!!
