My god!  Now some may accuse me of being a Rush fanboy, which I can't deny, Embarrassed, but I put down S&A for a few days and went back to it today.  This is really a great set of songs. This has potential to become my favorite Rush CD. I know, that's pretty extreme. S&A over Hemispheres? MP? PeW? Yup, it's really hitting a home run with me.

To be honest, I can imagine that progheads like the new Rush album but the best Rush ever made Confused .. if I compare Snakes & Arrows with A Farewell To Kings, Hemispheres and Moving Pictures, it's Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal comparing with Everton, Bolton or Tottenham LOL !

By the way, I just got this e-mailfrom the Rush fanclub:

Well, Erik, this may come as a shock to some here, but I actually have non-Prog music I really dig, even over Prog.  I know, I know...blasphemy.  LOL

What Is MVI?

With a higher storage capacity than a standard CD, the Music Video Interactive Disc (MVI) contains new interactive features including, superior sound quality, a wide range of video features, and interactive digital content. MVI discs play in all standard DVD players, computers, and game consoles with DVD drives but do not play in conventional CD players. Digital music files are compatible with all MP3 devices.

* The Rush "SNAKES & ARROWS" MVI comes in a deluxe box, and includes these 13 new songs in hi-resolution audio, the entire album in 5.1 surround sound, a video documentary on the making of the album, and more.

It's a great opener, very dynamic and it has early Eighties undertones, it makes you feel OK that Rush is back on the track after their disappointing Vapor Trails album.
