I've done this before, but hey presto, here's a new section for PA musicians, so it behooves me to show you what I got.

I do psych folk, a variant of prog folk, I guess. Think Incredible String Band, Pentangle, Nick Drake, some of the very mellow early Hawkwind (think We Took the Wrong Step Years Ago), that sort of thing, although I was once called Floydian...I couldn't figure out why, really, but I took it as a compliment.

Anyway, if you're looking for prog ROCK, I ain't it. Very mellow, acoustic music with weird noises in the background and lots of reverb.

I promise this is the last time I'll plug my own work!

Hello, Allister, Smile

Any artistic name to be used in the thread title or should I use your forum name in the meantime? Wink

Er, did I do something wrong? I didn't read the protocol, I'm afraid

I perform under me own proper name, as in the URL's above.

Of course, use my proper name...I have nothing to hide, no skeletons in the closet, and no enemies that I'm aware of...

Never got any comments before, don't expect any now...it's tough for a lonely space-folkie out there...

Both songs I heard: "You will return" and "21st Century Anthem" are fine and may be nice prog-folk songs with enriched arrangements... with a band probably or who knows with guest players?Smile

The other 2 tracks didn't work for me. Cry

Oh, didn't realize it was you. Shocked I actually listened to your music on Last.fm approx. a week before this thread was created.

Very nice music, as far as I can recall. Being a sucker for all things folk nowadays, it was right up my alley. I must listen to it again one of these days. Smile

Keep it up!

Wow, very nice and calm music.  Very spacey, I like it a lot.

(These are reviews of the songs on your myspace)

"You Will Return" has some very cool sounds in it, and a very enjoyable guitar part.  I like this one a lot.

"The Long Winter" was also good, but I didn't personally like the delay on the acoustic in the beginning.  It was just a little bit too much for me.  I still did enjoy they song because of the nice layers of keyboards on top of the main acoustic later on.

I love the sound at the beginning of "Pastorale".  I heard (at least I think I heard) Flutes and a guitar with a delay.  Still a little bit too much delay for my tastes, but I did like this one.

"21st Century Anthem" was my favorite of the songs.  It was nice a mellow, nicely sung and recorded.  I liked the harmony sections a lot in the vocals.  Good lyrics too.

I liked your music, very spacey and mellow.  good job.

Thanks folks!

BTW, it's all guitar on "The Long Winter"...I threw every kind of delay I had on the tracks and it ended up sounding like sustained keyboard notes.
