I like your music! It's amazing. I think it's prog-metal.
(the latin part of Gravity is great!)
Listen to my band, please, and tell me what you think about it

Hello, MistaMarko. I just gave your samples a listen... I liked them both. The guitar and keyboard work in particular I thought was very good, technically. There were a few parts in Inertia that sounded a little awkward, like the timing seemed a little off. But I think it is something easily smoothed out in a recording studio. Did you guys record in a studio or did you do this yourselves? I understand the pain of trying to get a perfect recording!!
I actually think the amount of keyboards was just fine. What I really miss is that there's no singing, but that's a personal preference. Good job, and good luck! |

Yeah, they're demos, and when we played it back and heard mistakes, we
simply said 'Oh well, we'll make sure that doesn't happen when we
officially record'...Making these demos we kinda had that attitude the
whole time, but for using one SM-57 for all the instruments and a few
condensors for the drums, they came out well for local demos.

Hey...I just listen your tracks Gravity and Inertia and I think are great. I'd like the concept of songs.
You will be my next My Space friend for sure!!!...My band is Anachronos and we play instrumental prog metal too...we mixes different trends like heavy metal, clasic genre, progressive rock and music from south america, so I enjoy your style. Visit our web site www.anachronos.cl to know more about us. There is a link to my space where you can listen two demos track.
GOOD LUCK!!
Best Regards,

YES!...finally another band like us..I'm glad to see that, lol..I
sometimes worry we're a bit too experimental sometimes, but that makes
me feel a bit better, lol. I like your style too, sounds really GOOD.
La musica es excelente..la guitarra de bajo es interesante, especialmente en "Caida Incierta"...me gusta, me gusta! Adios! :) |

Definitely good stuff Marko. Except the keyboards on Inertia a little awkward at first, still two nice tracks. Did you guys choose to be instrumental or can you just not find a singer?

We chose to be instrumental. We wanted to make people appreciate music
instead of just know a band by the lyrics. Sometimes vocalists take
away from the musicianship of the band.
On the contrary, and as contradictory as this sounds, we are thinking about all 4 singing or possibly getting a singer, but to back up my above statement, do instrumental CD's a lot and sing less. The singing would purely be for, I dunno, added sound. |

Yeah, if there's a bunch of people singing it usually covers up any lack of singing skills one person may have ( ![]() |

Just listened to Lo Que Te Quiero Decir II and Por Que. I am a huge fan of The Mars Volta, and like Spanish lyrics for some reason. Maybe because it's fun to translate ![]() Edited by Morbix - May 02 2007 at 16:03 |

Hi, Morbix I play bass in Anachronos (www.anachronos.cl), an instrumental prog metal band like Tetrafusion. To complement the point of view of Mista, about to have a singer or not, we formed Anachronos just to be instrumental. Three of us we were a part of a typical hevy metal band, with singer, and we felt that our need to do a more experimental music only can be realized without lyrics. After a lot of live concerts we have notice that there are a lot of people that understand that and enjoy an instrumental band, maybe not thousands, but enough to do a great show.Edited by aurbina - May 02 2007 at 16:53 |

Ack, sorry is it came across like I meant a band has to have vocals, that's really not it. Hell, the guys I jam with sing like crap, and that includes me. I might even propose the idea of instrumental after hearing all of you guys. My bad, Aurbina. ![]() EDIT: Checked our your site, your stuff sounds real nice, the tracks on the homepage. And the symbol is bad ass. I was kind of thinking about something like that. Edited by Morbix - May 02 2007 at 20:25 |
