I used to have long hairs. One day maybe i'll grow it again, but the intermediary phase between short and long enough is long and painful (1 year at least)!

Yep, it is. In fact, I'm in it right now. It got a bit easier now that it's long enough to fit behind my ears, but for a few months before it was always in my eyes.Ouch

Yes, i know that gesture to wedge its hairs behind the ears. Not good for the sight to have it always in the eyes. In your case, now you can attach them.
