1001 Albums You Must Listen To Before You Die

   I was looking through a book at work today called "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die" (or something along those lines). It got me to thinking: "What would be the 1001 albums to listen to before I move from this world?" 

To help answer that question I thought I would post this thread in PA and see what we can come up with as PA members collectively.

To get the ball rolling I have taken the Top 100 "All Genres" albums from PA (as of 24.01.2007) as the basis for the 1001, then I have added the "missing" albums from the Proto-History and Top 20 Albums chapters from Ronald Couture's "Essential Mini-guide To Progressive Rock". This gives 113 albums as the base list for this venture.

What I would like you to do is copy the list and add up to five albums not already on the list that you think are essential listening. These albums do not have to be prog - they just have to be five that you think are special and we should consider seeking it out and having a listen.

Add albums using this format: Artist Name - Album Title. Every now and then I will grab the list and sort it, etc. and re-post it.

I don't know if we can get to 1001 but let's give it a go.
