Very good list. I would have liked to have seen Devin Townsend's Synchestra or Mastodon's Blood Mountain on there, but overall very good list.
Milliontown and Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue blew my mind this year, very glad to see those on the list.
I really need to pick up PFM's new album, I have all their classic albums (Storia, Per Un Amico, etc.) but I didn't think to give this one a try. The reviews really make it sound like a return to glory, I can't wait to hear it.

It's also not exactly easy to get a copy of the album ... but it's the same with the PFM album, so that can hardly be the reason. |

Wow! Your the first person i have run across that agrees with me. I gave that disk 10-12 spins and because of the vocals I can't stand it. After all the hype I was dissapointed with it.

Maybe that has something to do with the longest song not being the best song on the album? ( Enciclica 1168)

LuxAde was another album that was in my top 5 and I am very surprised that it did not finish higher. |

I just started looking at the polls section, particularly starting with last month. I missed this particular poll and I'd bet I'm not alone. Someone should probably rerun it, particularly if it was run before 12/31/06.
Some nominees I'd like to add if not included before: Belew, Adrian Side Three Claypool, Les Of Whales and Woe Levin, Tony Resonator Residents, The Tweedles Triggering Myth, A Remedy of Abstraction, The Yorke, Thom Eraser, The |

Yeah, that was my favorite album this year, but it's not a very popular album yet, so its understandable.

Good job presenting the results, Tony! Glad to see Kayo Dot win there, I noticed them a bit earlier than some people on the website, hence the interview. Funny to read a sentence outside of the context of my review written ages ago or so it seems, I laughed out loud for some reason.
I'll be sure to get my hands on the latest PFM and Steve Hackett, seeing the appreciation shown here (in fact, I liked both, but when it comes to 70's legends I feel more confident getting their 70's material and ignore the rest).
Looking forward to 2007 albums to come!
