I can't really say... Zidane is calculating, cold, precise... Ronaldinho has a more spectacular dribble, speed... it's just 2 different playing styles... I slightly prefer Ronaldinho because he's a bit more complete

Ronaldinho "yellows" when playing for Brazil or in the decisive games.Confused He's good mainly in TV ads or against weak opponents and I believe he has a great future in the circus business doing tricks with the ball.Tongue

Even though ronaldinho has some amazing skilss (some un-human ability with the ball on his feet), the class, the decisive factor for important matches, the depth, all of that goes to this era's best player, Zidane (chronologically, the best since Maradona)

ZIZOU

who the puck is Ronaldinho, he'll be forgotten in 10 years, who can ever forget the masterfull headbutt that won the Itallians the worldcup, or some years earlier who got France the world cup.

It's all ZIZOU. our lord and masterHeart

edit: oh right Brasilia won the world cup in between, question how many minutes was Ronaldibho in the pits for the entire championship.

Be assured that the only thing that will be remembered for years to come is that headbutt.. as well as Baggio is mostly reminded for practically handing the USA world cup to Brazil in the penalty shoots in '94.. only the bad things are remembered

Zidane... great soccer player and he is passional!!! Not like Ronaldihno... He's just a motherf*****r guy from Brazil who plays soccer great (with his annoying smile) but he has no feling when he touches the ball...

Tis true. I was so excited to see him in the world cup, after watching hours of his tricks on youtube  but he just looked average on the field.

my vote went for zidane because of two reasons:
first, because his technical skill is to handle the ball with less touches (and more of body movement) than most of the great number 10s and he also does that while moving at higher speed (while ronaldinho takes the ball, dribles, and only THEN he accelerates), and all this i find very pleasant to my eyes.
the second reason is that zidane can convert his movement on the field and his usage of the ball in tactical superiority for his team - and this is what made him such an influential player and also this is where ronaldinho still needs to grow (which i hope he will do, because on this side he hasn't yet reached the achievements of, let's say, Rivaldo, both for Barcelona and Brazil's national team.)

Definitely Zizou.

Let's compare the two

Zidane: Just watch any of the older Real Madrid, Juventus or France games. The impact Zidane has is spectacular, but he does it so effort-lessly, it looks like he's drinking a glass of water. Either dribbling, passing or finishing, he can do it all with the elegance of a ballet-dancer. And he does it with the humbleness of the young boy from Marseille. His ability to dominate games is incredible. In my opinion, the best player in the last 15 years, maybe one of the top five ever.

Ronaldinho: Fast, pacey and smiling a lot. Ronaldinho is a predator in front of goal. He can dribble like a traditional Brazilian, but does not have the uniqueness of Zidane. In bigger games, he tends to play poorly, such as the 2006 Champions League final. He is consistent at goalscoring, but he's no Thierry Henry. He is an accomplised dribbler, but it doesn't look effortlessly. He is an excellent playmaker, but he's no Zidane, Cruyff or Platini. He is an excellent free kick taker, but he's no Platini or Juninho. Ronaldinho is an excellent combination of everything, but he's not the best in one field, he's an excellent combination of every attacking department.

Basically, Zidane is the quiet legend that we all ask questions about, while Ronaldinho is more of "the show". Zidane's ability to completely dominate games is what makes him stand out. His elegance and that ability are my favorite of his many abilities.

In spite of Flossy's fanatism, Zizou.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

zizou! When I was a kid, I didn't believe my brother when he told me there was a football player with such a weird name, Zinedine Zidane, I thought he was joking
The scattered jigsaw of my redemption laid out before my eyes
Each piece as amorphous as the other - Each piece in its lack of shape a lie

Zidane does it better on the big stage than Ronaldinho.

And he throws the best headbuts I've ever seen!
