Im surprised no one said Dark Side of the Moon.
It was the album that brought me to prog when i was 12 years old and still i can't find it better.

It's a tie between Harmonium - Si on Avait Besoin d'une Cinquieme Saison and Van der Graaf Generator - Pawn Hearts. Funny how opposite these albums are too.

In my opinion the ultimate prog rock album which gives me the most thrills and are one of the most versatile is "Darwin" by Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso. (But "Phallus Dei" by ADII is also completely flawless.., oh and there are many many more...)
