Mornin' Faaip!

It's pretty good for a couple of confessed non-musicians. Kinda like the polar opposite to most of the bands on here! Be careful as their catalogue gets progressively weirder ha!

(did you catch the photo I uploaded of it? Buried in here somewhere)!

Dug out another obscurity for your return BV. Ex Vitae 'Mandarin' from 1978 (Ford Capri Mk 2)

May be not to your taste as this is a fairly light and breezy Jazz-zeuhl affair (zeuhl may be pushing things a bit here although it sometimes gets a mention in lists) similar in feel to Honeyelk and Eider Stellaire's third but not quite in that bracket. Beautiful jacket artwork, shoddy looking label and completely self made! See the pictures of the band on the back cover? Sounds exactly like that.

Looking at what BASF label are offering it seems to me they can put whatever they are wanting on these records; which is a shame to us collectors

Anyway I think I might be heading off for the day, so will talk to everyone later.

Nice!

Wonder why nobody knows anything when their members are that prolific !

And why is everything on the BASF label so bleedin' rare ? !

That is a lot of work put behind that one Will definatelly have a look through that. Clicked on one of the links and this popped up:

Banten Danish group lead by Rob Van Der Broek ?

They don't seem to be too sure on this one

1986 if memory serves (and I can't be arsed to go upstairs and check...)
Know absolutely nothing about this band (even got the title wrong!) except that they wouldn't look too out of place driving a Ford Capri Mk 3 with Bazza and Shazza on the windscreen

It was recommended to me by one of the Freemans and managed to track 'er down on an excellent French site about six years ago. (Lost the bookmark)

The sharp mid-eighties production took a while to get into however it fits nicely into the RIO and Zeuhl categories with it's eccentric sense of humour and out-of-control heavily phased sax and spacey dub production. Sonically all over the shop. As it's so unheard of you shouldn't expect to pay too much for this gem

Nice find BV! But remember! Don't touch that first Pataphonie release! Unless you like the sound of needle static. Also the vinyl was pressed with the intention of destroying your stylus
