I'm wrecking my brain but can't find a connection between an asian mask and an x-ray of a knee. For the first word I'd think darksinger is looking for something like black or dark, but the second word??

now, there is a connection as the japanese masque is what the letter and x-ray spell out...

Darksinger, I'll give you the 2nd ONI rebus  ...but for those of us where English is our only language, a hint is needed at the beginning that a word takes on another form where a translation is required

If only I had known how close I was getting: I thought of the black grouse and - googleing for a japanese mask - stumbled over an oni-mask, but I never made the connection  - stupid old me  A good one that was IMHO, darksinger.  Your's, T.Rox, was a tad easier for me: The Girl Who Was ... Death by Devil Doll is my guess, although in the German speaking world Dr. Who was never on the telly, if I remember correctly . As I'm a simple person I like to keep things simple with this one:  It's a band name.
