Cynic only released one album, so even though I love it, I will not vote for them.
Arcturus blows me away with each and every album they make, so I'll vote for them, followed by Threshold and Shadow Gallery.

In this list, my vote goes to Threshold, closely followed by Angra, Devin Townsend and Beyond Twilight.

Sadly, from the list I've only heard Threshold and Cynic. But "Focus" blows away any album from Threshold, as much as I enjoy that band.

Sigh another Prog Metal poll devoid of Dream Theater.
When it comes to lesser known bands, you seem to be missing almost all of my favorites.
Zero Hour Time Machine Clockwork Lalu Vanden Plas
and I like Dream Theater a little too.

I obviously have a ways to go before I become an expert on prog metal, as I'm only familiar with 5 of these bands, and with only one album from each.
I really love Beyond Twilight's "For the Love of Art and the Making", Kamelot's "The Black Halo" and Shadow Gallery's "Room V," and was a bit less impressed with Threshold's "Critical Mass" and DTB's "Synchestra". If I considered myself qualified enough to vote, it would probably be for Shadow Gallery.

I just got Clockwork's album Surface Tension and think it is SUPERB.
Too bad it's the only album they ever made before breaking up.

I reviewed it awhile back. I really like how forthcoming the Yes influence is. Surface Tension sounds like a Classic Symphonic album turned metal at times.

Shadow Gallery has always had a sound which I enjoy. When they pulled off "Entangled" by Genesis, I was convinced...
