I think it's the Beach Boys (with Brian Wilson). The have played together last time around the mid-eighties and it could be a Glastonbury thing

No no, it won't be the Beach Boys (I hope not as well!).

Eric Clapton was supposed to play in 2005, but they already had filled all the spots, so he was asked to come back in 2007...

Cream have already reformed...
Rick Grech is not with us
Duane Allman is not with us

John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton, Keef Hartley and whoever was on bass at the time...

Don't think Keef Hartley has done much since the '80s, so i doubt this will happen.

The Jeff Beck group w/ Rod Stewart?  Ecch, I'd shudder to tihnk what Stewart singing those songs now must sound like.  They'd probably have to rename it The Rod Stewart Group (with Jeff Beck) for billing purposes. Confused

You're right, it was John McVie I believe!

It'd be even better if Peter Green was there, then they could have two versions of The Bluesbreakers... however, Hartley had left by the time Green had joined (they played together briefly I think).

Oh, I forgot about the Yardbirds... but that wouldn't work either...

Speculation has also begun over one of the other acts set to appear at Glastonbury in 2007, after Michael Eavis suggested he had secured "one of the biggest bands in the world", who apparently haven't played together for 35 years.
 
So it isn't Genesis. This time he said that it's 35 years since they played together. This means a band that stopped in 1971 of course.

wasn't this announced a few days ago..Bruce springstein & E street band apparently..though how they've been away for 35 years is beyond me.
 
Faces would be fabulous apart from fact two most influential members are dead.
