Somone else on the forum (I forget who), has an '80s photo of IQ in their signature and that worried me even more!
I think it was '80s anyhow... it was rather worrying!
I'll stick with a sign of The Magic Roundabout I think.

IQ were a motley looking bunch in the eighties.Pete Nicholls and Tim Esau looked like they failed the audition to be in Duran Duran while Mike Holmes..umm..best not to go there at all! They look so much better now  
Did you know IQ recorded a track called 'The Magic Roundabout'? Funny coincidence

I didn't until yesterday, when two of my neo-prog friends pointed it out to me. Is the song itself about The Magic Roundabout of Swindon? Not having heard it, or even read the lyrics, I was curious! I know they played Cirencester (along with The Tangent) a few years back.

Oh, I did hear her voice... Arch Enemy were at Download I think... you are so correct about her growling, I had to double-take when I heard her!

Tarja has a very artistic approach to her look. That's what I love about her. She didn't look great until Nighwish released Once though.

I prefer much Aneke Van Giersbergen and Gossow for that matter.
Plus, I find that Aneke has an amazing voice.
