Topic: What do you dislike the most? Posted: June 08 2006 at 17:10 |
Let's see what prog fans tolerate the least.
My top 5:
1_Raggaeton For listening and dancing (that man on behind thing makes it look like a stand-up sex act), the most horrible type of music there is. The same rhythm, mostly talks about inappropiate things, and objectifies women as sex objects and crap.
2_Cumbia: Another dance music I can't stand. While more tolerable lyrically and musically, and not requiring doggie sex dances, it is still terrible and "cumbia villera" is a form of extremely silly "bad boy" lyrics. Popular in my country, this is terrible. However, dancing with tango in a party is a bit unusual.
3_Rap/Hip Hop: While there are rare artists, I really really don't like the unmusical rapping and repetitiveness of the music and many of the lyrics.
4_Death MEtal: Ok, Opeth is a very rare gem, but this genre mostly has unmusical screaming and pathetic songwriting.
5_Punk: Yes, The Who are great, but is there something more than that? Extremely loud and simplistic music that just turns me off. The vocals are usually bad and the musicians subpar.

Uh oh, Rap/Hip Hop and oh oh,, some new bands on MTV with high guitar strap with 3-4 minutes song and they seem very passionate when they played the song... And of course, Punk..
Recently I checked on Wikipedia, Punk Rock, from the word punk, means "novice or amateur/beginner" something like that... It just tickles me...

Modern "Sugar-Pop" with idiotic and annoying lyrics such as "Oh baby, take me! Ahh! Im not afraid, to do that! Oooooh!"
Some punk is OK, but most of it is crap. Rap is good sometimes, but mostly not!

What about the bands ive mentioned... U know, high guitar strap, act like old school, too passionate when they played the songs, even though its just simple chords... anyone knows??
