Topic: Your opinion Posted: July 18 2004 at 18:50 |
I stumbled upon these lyrics on one of the Ukrainian metal web-sites. I find them quite amusing. Please tell me what you think.
Frozen tears
1
How can you crying on the tomb of mankind?
Mankind it’s coming to fall, fall
Teardrops on tomb transformation in hoarfrost
The end of humanity
Why do you preach to the end of mankind?
Nuclear winter has come, come
You understanding and dream of immortal
This is no sensing
2.
Frozen tears on the crystal glass inside your soul
Lifeless eyes in the depth of your abyss of thought
Don’t you cry! Equanimity hate to the fade in your fright
Don’t you try! To the change for the better this dying world
Why?
Scream of eternity to cut black silence
Why?
Emperor of fear to enthrone
Why?
Gates of the new world its open wide
Why?
The humans its will be done
3.
There was a peal of beastly frost and turn your tears in piece of ice
You suffering its mast be done, you thoughts its will be sacrifice
And pain, to spread inside your mind destructed of your morbid brain
You dead, you lasting foresight to paralyzed with fright and pain
Why?
Lost the millennium of morbid visions
Why?
Mystical creatures wake up
Why?
Thorns of eternity split the humanity
Why?
The frost its will be dawn
4.
Why do you crying on the grave of mankind?
Mankind it’s coming to fall, fall
Teardrops on tomb transformation in hoarfrost
The end of humanity
Sins for temptation
Sin for temptation
Temptation for falling souls
Open your eyes, wake up forget
Dreams of the fall, raiser to sin
Open your eyes, forgetting him
Pre refrain:
Sins for temptation, but you don’t redemption
Refrain;
SINS FOR TEMPTATION, TEARS FOR FEAR
RAGE FOR PAiN, LOOKING AROUND
THIS’ALL INSIDE YOU
2.
Sins for temptation
The everlasting life
Sinners and blasphemy
Open your mind
Original sin living’ into own brain
Mystical daemon we all rest in pain
Pre refrain
Sins for temptation, but you don’t redemption
Refrain;
SINS FOR TEMPTATION, TEARS FOR FEAR
RAGE FOR PAiN, LOOKING AROUND
THIS’ALL INSIDE YOU
time to liquid
1.
Time to liquid and spreads by eternity
Time is immortal, time it’s not dead
Time to deleted all sides by infinity
Time its own enemy time its own friend
Refrain:
Time to destroyed and stolen my sanity
Why do you bring me to abyss of dream?
Times are you terrible crashed my destiny
We’re victims of your turbulent stream
2.
Darkness integrity sides of my sensible
Perfect serenity into my dreams
Time to depraved all sides of the sanctity
Time it’s the beast of the eternal peace
Refrain:
Time to destroyed and stolen my sanity
Why do you bring me to abyss of dream?
Times are you terrible crashed my destiny
We’re victims of your turbulent stream
3.
Look at your life and drawing conclusion
Life after death? Or the death after life?
Why do you need the eternal redemption?
Breakdown religion and subvert of light!
Refrain:
Time to destroyed and stolen my sanity
Why do you bring me to abyss of dream?
Times are you terrible crashed my destiny
We’re victims of your turbulent stream

There's certainly a lot of them...
Looks like the author does not have English as first language - so full marks for such a courageous, epic attempt. IMHO it would be a useful exercise to get someone more familiar with the English language to correct the grammar.
Going beyond language, the style seems to lack pathos and is somewhat derivative. There's not too much there that hasn't been said in countless Metal bands, since the mid 1980s, be they death, doom or whatever the favoured labels happen to be.
I find them amusing in the same way that I find Eloy amusing...

Ah, I believe J666 is the author and was looking for some positive feedback. Guess he came to the wrong place.

J666 says he found them on a Ukranian website and finds them amusing...
I have to agree that they're amusing - I just hope I caught the right spirit of this thread!
