The Simpsons, hands down. The last few episodes have actually been a return to form, IMO.

Yeah, they've declined somewhat, but I find myself getting bored with Family Guy already. I'd say The Simpsons overall track record for 17 years is pretty damn amazing! |

South Park just edges out The Simpsons for me.
However, the best Simpsons episodes are better than the best South Park episodes. I can relate to both Homer and Cartman...... My friends think Cartman is based on me and my wife knows I'm Homer. |

South Park, Futurama close behind (Hypnotoad got to me!)
I love South Park! Everyone does! There are a lot of episodes with great messages and morals, and then they just totally ruin it with horrifying toilet humour, which I think is hysterical. My favourite part at this time is from the episode where theyre putting on the play 'The Miracle Worker' and Cartman has to come up with material to add to the play, and he puts on a blindfold and earmuffs (to think like hellen keller) and starts picturing things related to the play, and then begins to see terrifying, gory images like riots, beatings, animals eating other animals, corpses, etc. Eventually Cartman takes off the blindfold yelling 'Dammit!'. The man helping him write asks 'what? what did you see?' and Cartman says 'nothing, just the normal crap I see when I close my eyes.'
Brilliant! That part makes you realize just how twisted Cartman really is, its such a great show... so many classic episodes, its like a cartoon Seinfeld!

Simpsons started it all- every cartoon that has come after has borrowed SO many ideas/concepts from that show -ESP the Family Guy

I was never a huge fan of the Simpsons. Did anyone see the two part South Park making fun of Family Guy? That was one of the funniest, most creative, shows I've ever seen on TV. But that was only two episodes and as a whole I have to vote for Family Guy.

I agree 100%. Family Guy is the funniest thing right now but overall the Simpsons have been better in the past (in a different way). Special mention to Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park |

None of those shows are significantly funny right now, but all had their golden eras.

Of all time The Simpsons, but of recent years Family Guy, and in movie form South Park. American Dad takes on huge social commentaries, which I love. Futurama was cancelled way too fast.
