Atomic Rooster - Same
Magma - Same
Tangerine Dream - Electronic Meditation
Embryo - Opal
Can - Soundtracks

To mention a few that have not been mentioned before.
High Tide's "Precious Cargo" was recorded in 1970 but for some reason not released before 1985. Their self-titled 2nd album is from 1969, not 1970, as the database erroneously states.

Well, fellow Dutchman, the 1970 Album Top 10 in The Netherlands was:

1) Simon & Garfunkel -Bridge Over Troubled Water
2) CSN & Y-Deja Vu
3) Woodstock Original Soundtrack
4) Ekseption-3
5) Golden Earring-Same
6) Neil Young-After The Goldrush
7) Black Sabbatch-Paranoid
8) CCR-Cosmos Factory
9) Led Zeppelin-I
10) The Beatles-Let It Be

Between 11 and 20 we find bands like Santana (Abraxas), Iron Butterfly (In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida) and The Who (Live At Leeds).

And if we consider that all know progrock bands like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, ELP, Gentle Giant and King Crimson made decent till strong albums, 1970 WAS AWESOME!!

Every source I see says the second album is from 1970.....it seems more likely to me, though I suppose they could have had two albums out in one year

It was a year to remember, the material of many of already affirmed prog bands became more mature, new bands were emerging , progressive rock scene was flourishing....

The Soft Machine - Third
Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
Caravan - If I'd Do It All Over Again.....
Jethro Tull - Benefit
King Crimson - Lizard
'Sundown, yellow moon, I replay the past
I know every scene by heart, they all went by so fast.....
Either I'm too sensitive or else I'm gettin' soft.'

Bob Dylan
