Can someone tell me what the asterisk stands for? I have noticed it against some album or band names, and assumed it was because they hadn't yet been reviewed, but it also occurs on some (well, 1 that I saw!) that have been reviewed. Just curious.

Bands either under discussion of being here (like Deep Purple was for a time)...either under construction (uncomplete discography,biography etc.) Smile

* means incomplete discography.
I think as we get more and more people involved in editing and improving the band bios etc these irritating * will be dispensed with.
If anyone spots a band with an incomplete discography they should report it in errors and omissions (not newly added bands though-give it a month).

Ok, thanks, I can go with that, but ...

... why should an ALBUM have an asterisk - the one I noticed was Roger Waters 'When The Wind Blows' soundtrack album Confused

or is this just an error?

In fact, Joolz, there are presently 72 albums with (*). It means that some important information is missing for these albums.

However, many albums not marked with (*) shall have missing information. Finding one, please report. Smile
