BBC4 will be having a week of programs from or about 1973 starting on April 1st. (next week)

Amongst the programs will be clips from the BBC's "In Concert" series and a program about Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon (hopefully a new one!).

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be

(Excellent year for Prog though - possibly the peak year I reckon)

Doubtful, I'm afraid. That said, I do remember talk of the BBC putting out online TV in the near future, but I can't see it extending all the way to BBC 4 for quite some time

Emo is speaking on a programme about prog on Radio 4 not BBC4.

People outside the UK should be able to get a recording of this via the BBC website.

Interesting that I think the classic Brit gangster film 'Get Carter' is being shown as part of this week but is from 1971! Never mind though- BBC4 is by far my favourite digital channel, not least because it shows one of my favourite shows of all time, 'The Avengers' (and before that 'The Prisoner', another brilliant TV show), but the music programmes are always excellent and often delve into rare footage like few other channels have previously.

They're showing some Old Grey Whistle Test, I hope they show the excellent performance by Wishbone Ash, although they won't, because I believe that was 1971...
