The above bands released only one LP.

Which is your personal favourite album of these?

I know Alphtaurus released Dietro L'uragano as well, but it doesn't really count and to make life a bit easier, bare with me on this. The same goes to Alusa Fallax's two EP's.

Hard, isn't it?

This poll is inspired by Andrea Cortese's QVL poll.

I apologize if I omitted a band.

Doh, I forgot Murple!!!!

EDIT:

I add here another option since it is an essential album:

Murple - Io Sono Murple.

You can vote for this one as well as the above list.

Another Edit:

Add this one to the list as well:

Museo Rosenbach - Zarathustra

If I could I would redo the poll, but I can't, too bad.

Oh, well, my goodness, I do not have any of these in my collection, bloody hell......

I think Locanda Delle Fate should also count as there is only one studio album, (or they might have released something recently?..?), and , I think Museo Rosenbach with their Zaratustra, as the only other one I know is Rare & Unreleased compilation of awful quality...

Many many wonderful records, Assaf! Even the forgotten Murple.

I have to go with the Maxophone album which is the most varied and complex work of the all mentioned above!

Yes, LDF released on in the nineties "Homo Homini Lupus" while Museo Rosenbach only released that fantastic 1973 album. Recently released their own rare and unreleased as many of the old progrock bands, due to the increasing interest for the genre.

^^^

I wasn't sure how to treat Museo, and I decided not to include them. But if you feel it is only one LP, then by all means, vote for them.

Do not worry because the poll is an excellent way to point out the little-known bands who are the hidden gems people should start to search for!

Excellent work!

...btw, I confirm my choice for Maxophone, even if many of the above mentioned releses are wonderful.

I don't own all of them, though!

I have voted for Rustichelli & Bordini with their wonderful album Opera Prima but, as earlier mentioned, in fact should Museo Rosenbach with their album Zarathustra be on the list. In that case it would have been my #1 (Mellotrons  !).

Huh, it's a relief...

My vote goes to Museo Rosenbach!!!

And my wish list is continuing to grow and grow and grow..., no matter how I try to reduce it by many many purchases...anyway, let's hope one life is long enough....

BTW, all bands here are listed in PA.

For a list of unlisted bands, please refer to Andrea Cortese, ANDREW and Erik.

GREAT POLL!!!

THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT!!! I HAVE ALL THE ALBUMS LISTED HERE, AND I LOVE THEM ALL.

ANYWAY, I VOTED FOR ALPHATAURUS.

I would like to add other bands that released only one album in the '70s, besides MUSEO ROSENBACH, LA LOCANDA DELLE FATE and MURPLE that aren't in this poll:

  • ABISSI INFINITI - "Tunnel" (1981)
  • ALBERGO INTERGALATTICO SPAZIALE - "Same" (1978)

  • GLI ALISEI - "Same" (1979)
  • ANONIMA SOUND LTD - "Red Tape Machine" (1972)
  • GLI APOSTOLI - "Un' Isola Senza Sole" (1972)
  • ATLANTIDE - "Francesco Ti Ricordi" (1975)
  • BAMBIBANDA E MELODIE - "Same" (1974)
  • BEIA COME ABA - "Same" (1979)
  • BLOCCO MENTALE - "POA" (1972)
  • BOOM - "I Boom" (1973)
  • CAPITOLO 6 - "Frutti Per Kagua" (1972)
  • CAPSICUM RED - "Appunti Per Un' Idea Fissa" (1972)
  • FABIO CELI E GLI INFERMIERI - "Follia" (1973)
  • CERVELLO - "Melos" (1973)

I voted Alphataurus, but they actually have another seventies studio release.

I would have voted Museo Rosenbach, and they have only one original release until 2000.

Same thing with the excellent Biglietto Per L'Inferno. An unrealised album came out in '92 from both bands.
