I hate it when people don't finish a thought...
.....what exactly did Geddy spawn?
|
Two daughters, as far as I know.
|
OMG!.... anyone have any pics hahahhahah. Granted I love women with large noses but.....
|
Unfortunately, I haven't. Both Geddy AND his wife are Jewish, so I guess the ladies will have INCREDIBLY LARGE noses indeed
(no offense intended, BTW!)
|
You guys are racists. Im an Israeli Jew and I don't have a long nose! only about this size:
|-------------------------------------------------------|
|
hahahha... well I for one own a large (though not quite as long ) crooked nose (broke it in the service and never had it set) and married a beautiful women with a......distinctive nose .
Besides I'm not a racist just a amateur comedian with a bad sense of
humor. Though I still would love to see a pic of Geddie's
spawn... I bet they are hot.

You sure don't like high voices!
I would choose the guitarist of NightwishThe band is cool and their lead female singer is great, but that guy should be struck by the Silent Man

I pick Frank Zappa as worst singer in prog.
Cheech and Chong would sound better. They're funnier too.
Zappa 's strength was composing and playing guitar.

Funny Gabriel alone appears on both the best and worst lists and i can see why.
At his best he is creative, varied and conveys tremendous emotion. Other singers can'd do what he does.
At his worst his elocution is dreadful , he sounds camp ( like an English public school boy )and can't hold a tune

I don't like Drama much, but mainly it is because Jon Anderson's voice is not on it, not because the replacement singer was bad. Others can come and go, but Yes without Anderson (love him, or be perplexed by him!) isn't Yes is it.

I voted Howe but he is not a real singer, only third voice of Yes.
He sings very very badly for sure!
The others I have some difficulties with are La Brie, Geddy Lee but it really depends on the songs...
One of the finest voice is Mr Sadler of Saga...incredible voice.

Someone earlier expressed concern about Peter Gabriel's voice without insturments behind him---listen to "Family Snapshot" or "Here Come's the Flood" he sounds just as good here
Geddy Lee is more difficult to pin down... give the live version of "Resist" from R 30 a shot
My Least favorite are...
Steve Walsh (NOW) - hes lost his voice and thinks he can still belt out "Miracles out of Nowhere"
Ray Wislon makes me want to beat my face in with a sledge hammer
(In case you dont kno hes the lead singer for Genesis on Calling All Stations

Jon Camp of Renaissance.. He spoils a lot of teriffic Renaisance music by just opening his throath, he should have stayed with his bass guitar.

Geddy Lee is great. I think James Labrie has a very bad voice
