Topic: Remove the vocalist! Posted: February 27 2006 at 12:51 |
On most threads here I´ve noticed a lot of complaints regarding these vocalists. People love the band but can´t stand the vocals
So who gets your vote?

I voted Jon Anderson. I really like Yes but his vocals are just too high and feminine.

I don't really know LaBrie, but I guess people who don't like male tenors wouldn't like Anderson or Lee. Each to his own.

Ooops I think I´ve put myself in a Salmen Rushdie (the author) situation! Sorry Winter Wine!!
I wish to hell I had thought about it a bit longer before making such a remark He is a good vocalist with perfect pitch but.... how can I word this... it´just too samey all the time.

I don't have a problem with any of those vocalists, they are all excellent.
I cannot understand why some Rush fans don't like Lee's voice,I love his voice, very unique.I dug his singing even more on the older album when he sang in such a high register.

Deleting the whole thread would make a little more sense

All good vocalists. I love vocals ranging from the softest range to the most gruesone ones, including the infamous and hated (in this site) metal vocalists.

Three of my all-time favorite bands - and singers. Love em all, wouldn't change anything.

I voted for LaBrie.
LTE is proof that they can still make great music without him, but Tony Levin's excellent bass playing is also a welcome addition to that band.

I dont really mind any of them, and I love Jon Anderson's voice, but Geddy Lee can get a little strange when he screeches.

I would probably enjoy Rush's music if I could get past Geddy's tinny voice. But I can't.

They all seem to be important pieces to their bands to me.
