umm i don't see why these two are being compared but if i must.
Even though I am a huge Floyd fan I would always go with Supper's Ready. It's just a lot better |

No contest... Supper's Ready is Genesis's finest moment ever, whereas Shine... is nowhere near the best Floyd achievement.

Both are the best pieces of both bands, but still, even CTTE cannot beat Supper.

A hard one. Had to go for Suppers Ready because of Apocalypse in 9/8 but shine on is very very good

"Shine on" is a fine song. "Suppers Ready" is a true landmark. Not a fair fight.

Supper's Ready by far for me... Shine on is just another mellow Pink Floyd song... IMO, of course!

Supper's Ready. Even just a part of it ("Apocalypse In 9/8) is truly epic in of itself, but the whole song is just great.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond is great, too, but not anywhere nearly as great as Supper's Ready. Both have been circulating in my playlists lately. -Marc. |

heya....
Well Shine on your crazy diamond is a an extremely good piece it can't be compared to Supper's Ready, which is far superior in instrumentalization, and can be called a Suite. But shine is a trip
peace
