well how does the idea sound to you? I have to admit I'm a bit worried... if I take into account the name and the importance of the operation... pt.1

this album is coming out this year and I have a feeling that it will be a dissapointment...

I have heard two songs from the official site and thought they were at least average.

Any thoughts? (apologies if this thread has appeared before)

I thought the original Mindcrime was quite unoriginal and boring... and now I love it!

They are making quite a big fuss bout the 2nd part... posters, buy it now online now bla bla...

I still hope it'll be good

I'm not that big an optimist in life as I am in music

If They did it once, they'll do it again

And they are prog musicians, so my hope is even bigger!

Well, I don't think Queensryche can really come back to their old class, maybe the story will be good but musically I have some doubts.

It took some time for Mindcrime to grow on me as well, but now it's one of my favorite albums ever.

It'll be hard to match Mindcrime both musically and conceptually. I heard Hostage and I'm A American, and I also thought they were at least average. It depends how those songs fit in the story. I wonder where the story goes after Eyes of a Stranger.

I will definetly buy it and hopefully see them on the tour, even though I also have my doubts that it will match the first part.

Mindcrime ended perfectly with Eyes of a Stranger. I just hope the story doesn't start getting all stupid in the second part (the story and vocals were the best parts of Mindcrime, and I doubt he's as good of a singer now as he was almost 20 years ago).

I admittingly like Tribe more than The Odyssey!

So..... I guess I would love it!

well I saw Queensryche last summer in Greece performing Operation and were really great!!! The man's voice is still up to very high standards, don't worry about that. I also heard the 2 songs and sounded average as you said.

Yeah, that's what worries me. He's kinda the "meat thermometer" of the band. Generally, whenever he leaves, I don't like the next Queensryche release. Q2K was absolutely horrid.
