Which 1970 King Crimson album do you think is better... In The Wake of Poseion or Lizard?

ITWOP is a clone of ITCOTCK
Lizards stands on its own, is unique in KC's discography and simply astounding.

I really like In the Wake of Poseidon, in fact more than it's older brother, In the Court of the Crimson King.

Our preferences are not only made of the quality... personal tastes, memories, events, etc also shape our choices.
I remember my dad (he was a History teacher) appreciating the cover and the title of ItWoP... so I vote for Poseidon.

Lizard is way more creative and interesting IMO. In the Wake... was
very similar to the debut and thus less fresh sounding. My vote's for
Lizard, no question.

Actually I find "Poseidon" more refreshing than its revolutionary predecessor "Court" because it manages to take the best of the latter and make it more majestic, while the new ideas are really exciting. But, overall, I prefer "Lizard", since it's more colourful, more daring, with a more accomplished orchestral feel, and portrays a brilliant incorporation of avant-garde jazz aspects within a progressive frame.
Regards.
