Topic: Worst famous prog band? Posted: December 01 2005 at 09:51 |
This must be difficult.
Which is the worst famous prog band?
Give names that are 'widely' known...
I can't find any at the moment... this is hard!
Maybe Queensryche of the last decade.......in terms of producing boring music

Alan Parson's Something, Ambrosia, The jon and Vangelis stuff, Manferd Mann's late albums, err... Ian ¿Gilan?... any album from those bands that are supposed to be progressive but end up as background music on the elevators...

Don't quite like Dream Theatre. They try too hard to be prog (or something)

I can't stand Genesis. It's just drivel. Think Sledgehammer and Mike and the Mechanics. 'Nuff said really!

It's cruel to judge Genesis from Invisible touch and we can't dance...

I haven't heard all of Invisible Touch, but We Can't Dance isn't a bad pop album. Fading Lights is great.

Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974, it's a scientific fact.

¡ Holly copy !, ¡ I forgot about Triumvirat !... But here's the thing: Eloy. They have a great album (Oceans); but the rest of their discography is just lame or uneven. I particulary dislike their first works; The power and the passion and else. Now, to be fare, I have to say that "Ocean" is an incredible exception; and the live album is not that bad; but I have a lot of eloy albums that I got hopping to see some kind of artistic growing from one to the other. I want my money back. Specially, I want the money I spent getting "Metromania". They are "Emule worthy".
