I love Muse and Kate Bush. The only 'problem' with their inclusion is now I seem to have few non prog artists in my CD collection.Guess I'm a real 'proghead' then

can we please stick to PROG???

What I notice is that lately a lot of music that is so borderline (yes, even Katatonia, before someone else mentions them ) to prog is included, but lots of new PROG bands are not added!

Look at the organizing prog metal topic, lots of PROGRESSIVE bands are suggested there....

Interested in my reviews?

We can't allow too loosely defined boundaries, especially in the case of "prog-related." If you have serious intentions of having a "prog-related" category, then why not add The Beatles? Led Zeppelin? The Doors? Steely Dan? Jimi Hendrix? Jeff Beck? Funkadelic? The list goes on, and adding bands like Queen but not adding bands like the aforementioned just creates double standards. Stick to what the website is about to begin with. "Clever" does not mean "progressive," or even "prog-related." Muse definitely is prog-related, but I'm talking about other bands that get added just because they're slightly intelligent.

The crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe.

Can we add King Hery VIII? He wrote Greesleeves. It's in 3/4 time.

Isn't that prog enough?

(sarcasm)

Really, I don't care.

Your list of band is not far from the truth ... some of those bands are scheduled for addition. But there is a heavy discussion going on here in the public forum as well as among us collabs (I don't think that I betray any secret here) ... and I support those additions with the exception of Funkadelic - I don't know them, and The Doors - not prog related enough IMO.

Absolution is a boring album of almost farcicle music. Not 5 stars.

My avatar is the vocalist of glam rock/brit pop band Suede (aka the London Suede in USA). They were once good before the guitarist left the band. Albums to hear: self titled debut and 'Dog Man Star.'

My sister who HATES BUT HATES PROG is a die hard fan of Muse, Linkin Park... and all that CRAP music... Muse is really a bad example for prog... like some guy said... we should add those recent PROG bands that arent as popular ... I mean its not just cause you like Muse that they deserve to be prog..

So from now on we should use your sisters music taste as a guide for what is prog related or not?
