Wonderful album!! I can not stop to listen it.
I think it is the unreleased album from Yes.
Anyone agree?

I agree with the first part.  It's a great album.

But it's not unreleased.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

I think it's great too. Considering that Moraz and Bruford played on it, the style is similar to Yes's and Squire does all of the vocals, one could consider it a lost Yes album (much like Voyage of the Acolyte is to Genesis). As Evolver said, though, it's not exactly unreleased.

Great album, best of the Yes "solo" projects of 75/76 I think. Maybe gave Chris Squire the confidence to pen "Parallels" for GFTO.

It is great album, but I like Olias Of Sunhillow better.

And all Yes fans know of the conflict between Bill and Chris which spoiled the planned reunion of CTTE line up, which eventually ended up as ABWH. Does not the presence of Bill on Fish Out Of Water seem strange in these circumstances, does it?

yet you still have time!

Great indeed, listening to it right now actually, but I also do like Olias better.

I like it.  I'd throw it a B+, and it probably is the best non-Bruford solo album by any Yes member.

wasn't Parallels a leftover from the 'Fish' sessions?  I remember hearing back in the distant past that it was.  Not 'good' enough for the Squire album, yet good enough for Yes. If true it says alot for the quality of Fish to anyone who hasn't heard it.  A GREAT album!

oh yeah, that's a given with Squire.  I was really impressed with his ability to handle the lead vocals.  Much more than just harmonies with Anderson and Howe.  Not to mention his compositional skills.  If it were 'mere' bass playing alone it wouldn't be half as good as the album ended up being.  It's really good....  music.

I love this album, not because it's dark, but because it's rather heavy. Squire does a very good job on the bottom line and Mel Collins just lifts the whole thing. Pity that Squire decided to sing, for he has no voice, just like Howe - but one gets used to it after a while...

Any one of you bothered to review it?

I bought the album when it was released and I played Safe (Canon Song)and Silently Falling every morning for about 6 months before leaving home for school in the mornings

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

"Hold out your hand" is a great cut, I love the video of it on the
Yesyears" DVD, with Bruford and Moraz. I prefer the Moraz
album "Story of I" as an album, but don't know if it counts as a
"Yes solo album", since he didn't record with them after that
(though they did tour Relayer once more).

Anyone agreed?

I agree completely. Mr. Squire has hidden talents. He proves himself to be an excellent composer. I wish he made more high quality albums like that.

Yes me too - thought 'i' was amazing, though sound quality a bit thin on the old vinyl. Some terrific compositions, great solos, poor vocals (sadly) but VERY prog and brimming with ideas. His subsequent solo albums degenerated into sub-standard Brazilian jazz.
