I was reading my introduction to communication textbook today at school...and look what I found:

"Nonverbal communication is at least as ambigous as language, probably more so.  This point was made abundantly clear by rock musician Frank Zappa when he appeared on a television talk show hosted by an obnoxious individual named Joe Pine.  This incident occured in the 1960s, when a person's physical appearance, especially hair length for men, communicated nonconformity, rebelliousness, and antiwar sentiments.  The most distinctive aspect of the show was Pine's shabby treatment of his guests, whom he tried to make look foolish.  Pine had an amputated leg, but this was unremarkable until Zappa appeared on the show.  When Zappa, sporting shoulder length hair, was introduced to the audience, the following exchange took place:

Pine:  I guess your long hair makes you a girl.

Zappa:  I guess your wooden leg makes you a table.

Zappa's laser-quick ad lib exposed the absurdity of treating a nonverbal cue(e.g., hair length) as if only a single meaning could be attached to it....."

I found this kinda funny

Improvement makes straight roads, but the crooked roads without improvement, are roads of genius.

Silence is the music of the future.

I love that quote.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

My favorite is "May your sh*t come to life and kiss you on the cheek." This was apparently said to Tipper Gore. Why did he have to die and leave us with The Shrub?

Zappa's  genius and talent are sadly missed.  And so are his quotes. On the net there are a lot of sites on Zappa Quotes. I personally like:
