So i saw some posters around York about a floyd tribute coming to town and playing at the Grand Opera House. Me and my mate love floyd so we got some tickets and went down.
Got there about an hour early just waiting outside and met up with the lead guitairst (Who looked like Gilmour ) Anyway we helped him take some stuff on stage and he gave us a free cd (Which i'm listening to right now) and a free program. We then met up with two of our other mates and proceeded into the opera house, We were 3 rows from the front, great seats. Anyway the band opened with a fantastic rendition of Shine On You Crazy Diamond which lasted 13 minuets and was met with a thunderus aplause. They then played 2 Syd Barret songs: Arnold Layne and Bike which i have never heard but i loved. I think after that came Time, which was played a little shorter i think but still damn good, especialy the sax! To be honest i can't remeber the order after that but i do remeber the other songs played:
Run Like Hell: Brilliant  Fantastic, is all i can say, it was played with such precision, the guitar blew me away, possibly my favourite song of the night
One Of These Days: Never heard this song but i loved the bass intro and was complettly freaked out by the vocals "One of these days i'm gonna..." It was so freaky but i loved the song
Great Gig in the Sky: Well this was a real highlight, Stella the rythm guitarist and steel lap guitar, 12 string and 6 string acoustic player, was just so good at singing this song! Really really good. After the first singing part everyone aplauded and she thoughly deserved it, hit every note perfectly! Also on their big screen behind them showing videos and that type of thing they had the Wizard Of Oz being shown which was really cool for those ppl who know about it.
Money: the bass line was a bit ify but it was enjoyable just to the hear song being played, and they did a very cool breakdown into Black Night by Deep Purple which i was surprised and thought was very smart as both songs use pratically the same notes!
Young Lust: First time i heard it, very good though
Echoes: Fantastic
Us and Them: Very good vocals and a nice mellow song they pulled off very well.
Coming Back To Life: Very nice, enjoyed by all
What do you want from me: Good
Learning to Fly: Really cool
I think thats all, they ended with Another Brick In The Wall upon which everyone sung and i was one of them. Proud to have done as well, jolly good fun.
They went off and came back on with Wish You were here and Comfortably Numb, Both very good and songs everyone wanted to hear, only real complate was Numb was a bit too heavy for that song.

However if you ever get the chance to see these guys and you love Floyd I urge you to go see them for a great night out.
All in all I give it a 9/10

Going to see these guys in Hull [UK] city hall next month, I'm looking right forward to it.

Tell me guys, what was the visual experience like with the lighting and video screen like?

slightly off topic: Do you know the tribute album Back Against the Wall? I've read a review about it, and apparently it has already been released, but I can't find it anywhere.

The lighting show is amazing, they even have camaras on the keyborads and steel lap guitar so you can see them fretting away
