What’s your favourite guitar?

well, you can check my guitars in the Show Us Your Axe´s post, in tech talk.

But my favorite is the Ibanez SA at the time (it changes quite regularly i think), wich i mainly use (and no, i dont play "technicla Heavy Metal", i play Yes, Genesis and Rush a load in my bands ;) )

Progmatic  has shown my exact guitar. I love the thing but I also love strats. Right now I have a Mexican strat which sounds great but I'm looking for a new one since mine is pretty beat. I also need a large headstock, they just look so cool.

That guitar is so terrible. It has one sound. a really fat heavy sound. And its great for classic rock/ early metal....but thats it!!

It's one sound isnt even that great

Thats's my guitar. It's unbelivable! A very full sturdy sound with a strong force because of the humbukers. But it has a 5 way pickup switch to give it an amazing versitility.  it stays in great tune no matter how much bending i do, It was intelligently made everywhere form the wood choises, to the placemnet of  the neck strap. an over all great sounding guitar. I'd recomend it to anyone with 800$ to spend

Ps - one of the reasons I want a new guitar (to complement my strat, not to replace it) is for the extra frets.

BTW: I agree that there are many people who can do fine with 21 or 22 frets ... but it's just ridiculous to offer a guitar with an insanely good vibrato system ideally suited for Vai and Satriani stuff ... and then leave out the last 2 frets. All the RG guitars have 24 frets, all ESPs (except some Gibson-clones) have 24 frets.

But ofcourse if you play metal stuff im sure it is nice to have 24 frets although i would prefer if 24 fret necks where a bit longer...besides have you tried the progarchives chat? im on there now and bored

Blah who the hell needs two octaves anyways? I could even settle on 21 wich is more than enough...
