Next week I'll go to Prague for holiday; I have some East European prog cds (Solaris, Fermata, Modry Efekt, Phoenix), can you recommend me something else?

Korni Grupa/Kornelians (Czechoslovakia - I guess, so it might be your best bet)

and definitely

After Crying - pure Geniuosity from Hungary

also Decadence from Russia, - brilliant but you might find it difficult to find

Korni Grupa are from Yugoslavia

There is plenty of excellent prog from Yugoslavia but that wasn't  an Iron Curtain country

Try

Tako(symphonic prog)

Igra Staklenih Perli(psychedelic)

Leb i Sol (ethno jazz prog rock)

Drugin Nacin (folk rock)

Indexi(art rock)

Time(fusion prog rock)

All from Yugoslavia....

But in Prague i dont think they have that...if you go to Slovenia,Croatia or Serbia you can find these fine music...

Definitely Collegium Musicum - but albums recorded before 1976. Personally I think they sound like a tidied up Nice. And as somebody pointed out to me here, strictly they are now Slovac. Their keyboardist Marian Varga, apparently now does a  equivalent to a modern day Mike Ratledge, i.e. advettsing jingles.

I remebered band actually from Chechoslovakia -their name is Progres 2, and their album I have is "The third book of jungle" - very interesting work.

There are many recommendations. So I selected only from 4 countries. Try !

Russia - Sepsis, Eduard Artemiev, Araks, Avtograf, Horizont, Mikhail Chekalin, Little Tragedies, etc

Poland - SBB, Niemen, Turquoise, Indukti, Albion, Amarok, Lizard, etc

Czech - Synkopy & Oldrich Vesely, The Plastic People Of The Universe, Uz Jsme Doma, Progres 2, etc

Hungary - East, Kolinda, Kormoran, You And I, Rumblin' Orchestra, etc

I was just in Prague and was a bit disapointed of their selections. IF you
know a specialized music store there, maybe then, I didn't and couldn't find
any.
