Just Curious , I like Moog and VCS3 and Eddie Van Halen's synthesizer solo on 1984 , am I right in thinking he used a Oberheim for that song?

correction: the Mellotron IS IN NO WAY a synthetizer. It's a sampler. That's a completely different thing. It doesn't create sounds from scratch as the Moog does, it just plays a tape with a pre-recorded sample at the touch of the corresponding key.

I love my Korg T3 ... although at 14 years, it may not have long to go ... modify the sounds to get ARP/Moog sounds, and a variety of organ sounds ... been playing synths for 19 years now and never touched an analog tho
