Focus - Hamburger Concerto, without question. IGNORE ANYONE WHO RECOMMENDS MOVING WAVES AS IT'S REALLY QUITE PATCHY.

Caravan - In The Land of the Grey and Pink. Yes it's SO worth it!!

Renaissance - Meh... they bore me.

Get Scheherazade and Other Stories from Renaissance.  And yes they are VERY VERY VERY worth it.

If you can recommend me just one album (I'm a 16-year-old so there's a limited budget!) from these following bands, what would it be? I've heard quite a bit about these bands, but I don't know where to start.

Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM)

Van der Graaf Generator (Can you believe it? I've got plenty of albums by ELP, Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Camel, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Rush, and Gentle Giant, but no VdGG!)

Focus

Caravan

Renaissance
