Topic: "Drama" - Machine Messiah Posted: August 20 2005 at 03:23 |
Machine Messiah is the best song from one of the best albums from YES,
that you've most likely never heard. I think it is available for
download from the Archives as well.
Highly recommended!

I agree- it's one of their best, and heaviest- it's so good that it towers over the rest of 'Drama' imo, but I still love that album!

"Machine Messiah" is great, but my favourite song in "Drama" is "Does it Really Happen".

A truly superb song. It's a shame that the Drama album has always been overlooked. There are some real gems on it.

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.

SPECTACULAR!!! IT´S AMONG THE HEAVIEST THINGS THEY´VE EVER DONE, AND THE THEME REPRISE NEAR THE END IS ONE OF THESE MOMENTS
ALSO THE MIX OF THE WHOLE ALBUM IS WONDERFUL; THE RHYTHYM SECTION (SQUIRE AND wHITE) PLAYS AND SOUNDS SUPERB!!!

Drama is definitely one of my favorite Yes albums. I hate that people just dismiss it because Anderson and Wakeman aren't there, but that doesn't bother me at all

Great song indeed. I would rate the album with three stars. "Man in a White Car" is fun, and "Tempus Fugit" is a good song. I haven't idolized any player of YES, so the line-up doesn't mean anything to me, only music.
