I already asked the question in the "Evil" thread, but perhaps it got overlooked there: Does anybody know whether "Les Chants de Maldoror" by Isidore Lucien Ducasse alias Lautréamont were ever used as basis for a concept album?

I'm not sure if it was used as the basis of a concept album, but David Tibet (Current 93) has talked about being inspired by it in interviews.

The only thing I can think of even vaguely related is that there's a band called Maldoror, a collaboration between noise musician Masmi Akita and Mike Patton doing lots of screaming and strange voices. Probably not what you're looking for

They obviously took the name from the book though.
