I recently bought Porcupine Tree's "Signify (including Insignificance".
Only problem was that cd1 said "The Sky Moves Sideways CD1) instead of "Signify CD1", while the audio on the disc is correct!
Doesn't bother me at all. Just thought i'd ask if anyone else have experienced the same? (with this cd that is)

And does this add extra value to my cd?

Yes

About 15 years ago ordered in a new Miles Davis and a new Joni Mitchell album, released on CD the same day by WEA in the UK. Quite a shock to hear Joni Mitchell coming from both CDs when I got them home and played them. Careful examination showed the matrix number was common to both, although one CD was printed up Joni Mitchell, the other Miles Davis. I guess quite a coincidence, as  I bought them on the same day.

And back around 1970, when working a record store, I had to deal with somebody who returned a recently purchased LP which had the first catalogue number ever issued by Vertigo (Juicy Lucy????). Well that's what he had on side 1, Side 2 was Side 2 of the second Vertigo release. 35 years later I kick myself for not knowing what I know now, and therefore buying that particular album myself - probably worth a few bob in 2005!!

I bought Steve Howe's Turbulence when it was first released and when I opened the jewel case I found two CDs. Both the same, but two CDs in one case. I quickly photo-copied all the tray sleeve and the booklet, kept one and returned the other for another disc.

Misprints do not generally tend to have any significant value. If you're lucky you might find an osessive collector who will be willing to fork out to get something unusual. It's not like stamps or bank notes though, probably because the security involved in manufacturing is not the same.

i have the muddled up tracklist version of "absolution" by muse. I have never found 2 discs but if anyone else has Kid A, look under the cd panel to find a secret booklet! Also i found Opeth's Blackwater Park in between my mum's Who collection! It was scratched like hell so i bought a new one today on sale for £7.

I also have a misprinted version of back in black by AC/DC on vinyl, i dont know if this is common, cost me 50p.

on the sleeve the tracklist (INCORRECT) is:

1. Back In Black
2. Hells Bells
3. Shoot to Thrill
4. Given the Dog a Bone
5. What Do You Do For The Money Honey
6. Rock n Roll Aint Noise Pollution
7. Let Me Put My Love Into You
8. You Shook Me All Night Long
9. Shake a Leg
10. Have a Drink On Me

on the vinyl sticker the tracklist (CORRECT) is:

1. Hells Bells
2. Shoot to Thrill
3. What Do You Do For the Money Honey
4. Given the Dog a Bone
5. Let Me Put My Love Into You
6. Back In Black
7. You Shook Me All Night Long
8. Have a Drink On Me
9. Shake a Leg
10. Rock n Roll Aint Noise Pollution

The only 2 tracks in the correct place on the sleeve are Given the Dog a Bone and Shake a Leg.

Along those same lines, the first Pink Floyd The Wall I bought on CD (not used, but brand new) had two disc 1's. Needless to say, I wanted to hear Comfortably Numb, but the store was cool enough to exchange it without too much suspicion.
