Music inspired by Harry's father Henry Williamson's famous novel, 'Tarka the Otter'

Harry and his long-time friend Anthony Phillips (Genesis), collaborated on this suite of pieces throughout the late 80's, inspired by the work of Harry's father and the North Devon landscape he wrote about. Classically beautiful it evokes it perfectly. Features many guest musicians including Gong's Didier Malherbe and members of the London Philharmonic and National Orchestras.

This new Blueprint issue (originally released in Australia in 1996 I think) has a new cover, been re-edited and features some additional music.

Track Listing: Total Runtime 49.30
  1. Postlude - The Anthem 11.30
  2. Movement One - The First Year 16.20
    • Owlery Halt
    • Weare Water
    • Golden Pool
    • Moon Play
    • Corncrake Meadow
    • Root Walk
  3. Movement Two - River and Estuary 15.35
    • Moonfield
    • Waymoor
    • The Estuary
    • Salmon Hunting
    • Moonfield
    • The Burrows
    • Bag Leap
  4. Movement Three - The Hunt 6.05
    • The Foreboding
    • Dark Hams Wood
    • Pool of the Six Herons
    • Escape o the Estuary
    • Beam Weir
    • Deadlock
    • The Kelp Pool
    • Island Run
    • Ebb Tide
Musicians:
  • Anthony Phillips: Acoustic Guitar and Keyboards
  • Harry Williamson: Acoustic Guitar and Keyboards
  • Didier Malherbe: Flute, Piccolo and Soprano Saxophone
  • Linsay Cooper: Bassoon
  • Guy Evans: Percussion
  • Dave Sawyer: Percussion
  • Krysia Osostowicz: Violin
  • Anne Morfee: Violin
  • Janet Crouch: Cello

I hope this will be great listening; the line-up certainly looks very promising.

I also loved the book, and my sons like watching the film on DVD. I would also like to buy this CD, it's on my list of ones to buy when I have the spare cash.

No, not pointless. I'm not like you, I don't always do pointless.

The point is that you know nothing!

It was intended as a joke, that you could post that anywhere, because you know nothing of the topic. It failed as yuo didn't understand!

BTW why post in a topic if you know nothing????????? Irritating that is!

Have just berated others on a keyboard thread for not looking/listening beyond the obvious suspects, I thought I better put my money where my mouth is, and just ordered some more  Johansson bros material:

JOHANSSON: the last viking

BENNY JANSSON: flume ride

JOHANSSON: the j:son brothers + sonic winter
