Topic: Charlie Drake Progressive? Posted: August 09 2005 at 11:41 |
Charlie Drake, the diminutive comedian of the 1960's apparently made a single in 1976, written by Peter Gabriel and performed by him, Gabriel, Robert Fripp! and Phil Collins et al.
Does anybody have any more information about this strange phenomenon?

Apparently it was called "You'll Never Know", on the Charisma Label.

Ah, Charlie Drake, "The Worker". He used to make Sunday night TV worth watching.
I have a very rare single by him called "Puckwudgie". Offers over £100 considered!

Blimey, it's in my Record Collector book. Charisma CB 270 You never
know/I'm big enough for me (produced by Peter Gabriel). Worth £8.
Which is £3 more than Puckwudgie.

Not by £95 though!
I'm going to start a campaign to get Charlie Drake on this site.
Imagine the discussions we could have about whether he's prog or not
and, if so, is he more prog than Queen?
