Does anybody think that there needs to be more than one "Archives" site,
you know for different genres? This came to me during the brouhaha over the addition of Queen to the site, and I thought, since the "Archives" model is so cool, why not make one each for Punk, Metal, and Jazz? |

Trust me, I know what I'm doing (taps side of nose.)

Most people here don't like those others, so I really don't care. If it happens, it just f**kin' happens

It's a cool enough idea, but way too much work for our current team ... And the overlaps would probably create more friction ... should Pink Floyd be in PyschArchives or ProgArchives? should Return To Forever be in JazzArchives or ProgArchives? should DreamTheater be in MetalArchives or ProgArchives? (Or if you have them in both, can only certain reviewers review them on certain sites? ...) And what do you do about a prog band that mainly combines jazz and metal? |

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”
"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present." |
