I'd like it to include the latest additions to Progarchives, bands and mp3s. I can never keep up with these so a list in the newsletter would be great for me.

And how about a colum from K00l prog guruz?

I have just had an AMAZING idea (well i think it is amazing!)

You make several prog newsletters on the different genre's of prog (E.g. metal, folk, neo etc.) and then publish samples onto the website then let people choose which newsletter they would like to subscribe to. this would mean more information about a perticular genre and more people may subscribe to one of them as they won't have to deal with the genre they are not interested in.

What do you think M@X???

I'm up for this - I'd be happy to contribute if you need any incoherent ramblings and puerile drivel.

Arkitek's idea is excellent at least to potential subscribers.

I do wonder - and this is the reason why I didn't even think of such a possibility when I posted my previous message - if divinding the newsletter project into a number of "publications" would make the task even more troublesome and worksome than what it would be without the divition...

The task is, anyway, enourmous.

But I suppose I would subscribe to a non-metal prog newsletter

Cheers

The newsletter could be made with perforations, you know, so you could tear off the bits you didn't like...

Thanks to share about this..

How about new mp3's?

I hate looking at every band just to find mp3's. There are too many groups to search through

Been reading reviews and the forum for ages, only signed up now... don't ask why (the now and for ages), but a newsletter is always welcome. Though chances are I will click 'My Favourites - Prog Archives' anyway if I got nothing better to do (which is most of the time)...

I'd probably sign up to it, but I'd also probably unsubscribe after a couple of issues, or just not read it at all. The chances of it being particularly interesting are, I imagine, pretty slim.
It's only knock and knowall, but I like it...

I think that's good, but with one addition: a sort of "all-round" one that gathers the main pieces from each one, for those looking into prog (and so I could get news on Marillion without subscribing to a neo prog magazine )
