Acquiring The Taste

Yep, I had this given to me my a fellow forum member and it has made me a happy bunny for many months now.

A great album and a great band!

Thanks for that. I remember one stand out track by Stud (if not their name!!), which not Taste-like - I'm sure I had a copy a long time ago, time to check with friends if I lent it out and forgot it.

While on the topic of The Taste - what was the spin-off band's name when Rory Gallagher went solo? And how can I acquire The Taste album on CD, the album that set the scene for Skid Row (the original, and Irish band), Thin Lizzy and even U2?

This is my favourite Gentle Giant album, and I love all the tracks on it, and the title track is GREAT!

This is one of the best cd's I ever heard. I wish that more people would hear hit, but would they appreciate it? GG is an acquired taste indeed.

I wish more bands would have chosen the uncompromising route Gentle Giant took. Not an easy route but very, very rewarding. 

Perhaps my favorite GG album! (out of the ones I've heard) "Pantagruel's Nativity" is brilliant!

No idea why you find "Wreck" cheesy". The idea of a shanty interrupted by recorders and strings in the middle is excellent!
