Classy prog folk. Manning is an awesome lyricist and musician. He is criminally underappreciated.

I have the Ragged Curtain and A Matter of Life and Death. He has a new one coming out soon, called "One Small Step" I believe. I'm looking forward to it as I really enjoy the two cd's I already have of his.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I have just bought A Matter of Life and Death (apparently now out of print?) and it is really good - he reminds me a bit of a less cynical Ian Anderson, very folky English, melodic and with intelligent lyrics. Anyone else heard of the wonderful Guy?? He also played on The Tangent's first album (vox, guitars, keys) and contributed to PO90 ... clearly a very talented chap - but apparently not too well known?? ANY THOUGHTS? |
